The Good Death

The Good Death is an extraordinary film about a very powerful, still very Taboo and unexplored subject. I personally felt the director and filmmakers did an outstanding job in presenting the subject, the journey and the emotions within the entirety of the film. The courage of both filmmakers and the individuals whose life and choices were explored in the film deserves a huge KUDOS as it is not something many of us would share and in such an open and non-censored way. Very brave choice and very artistically made to bring such a painful subject to life in portraying such beauty, acceptance and hope within it.

Lonely Glaciers /Guardians of the Gibbons /A Wetland Legend

Raising awareness to environmental issues is a major issue every society faces. This documentary team risked their own personal safety in order to capture some of the most stunning experiences of nature’s environment and its inhabitants. Through their lenses, we are able to witness the beauty of nature and their sincerest appreciation of mother earth.

OUTSTANDING DOCUMENTARY DIRECTOR

WINNER

ALEJANDRO DIEZ

This documentary is an absolute fantastic showcase of molding a first person documentary interview style experience with art house quality in the way it was designed and edited as well as it’s pacing. It very much reminded me off the Lois Theroux documentaries but with much more charisma and soul. The subject was fantastic and through the Director’s vision the film took me on a journey inside the life and heart of Modern day Tango and its evolution from the traditional tango. I was mesmerized at how artistic this film was especially since usually a subject like this is told through a traditional documentary way.

Time Out

The inadequate and completely oblivious self-indulgent Principal also brings a character which we have met in our lives at least once whom is so utterly useless yet has thoughts of grandeur that you almost feel you are watching a Monty Python character representation of the modern- be inclusive to everyone yet never fully understanding where the problem lies “wannabe humanitarian”. This is an exceptional film, with depth, visually stunning sequences, beautiful directing, superb acting and absolutely fantastic and tremendous script all interwoven in an artistic and extremely unique dramatic way.
